Worktop edging strip help!

Hi,

At the moment by the side of the hob we have the push into a slot type plastic edging.

It melts lol.

Are metal strips available? Like this for household worktops?

why not just use angle aluminium from b and q ?

Cheers, I'll have a look, but I was hoping for very little overlap on the top edge - I'm assuming that will have equal sizes on both sides?

use normal house hold ones . just cut them down a bit .

you can get uneven sided angle,or a ' J' shape,or just run the angle down on a sawbench to suit,then sand it smooth. if you haven't got a sawbench, i have

alan's idea gives you a nice rounded lip rather than the square one on angle .

How deep does it need to be, not the top edge.

Thai - it's about 15mm, the standard kind of lightweight laminate stuff you find in vans.
