I'm installing a solar panel on my 2004 Rimor Europeo NG5 soon.
As anybody done this before ? I'm wondering what route the wiring from the solar panel to the battery compartment should take and what panels or cupboards I will have to remove in order to achieve this in the easiest way.

Have you got a wardrobe to route the cable down ?

:cheers::cheers::cheers:

Yes I've got a wardrobe but due to the layout of the Rimor Europeo NG5 it would have to be a long length of cable.
I'll do the job tomorrow and see which cupboards etc have to be disassembled.

Turned out to be a very easy job. Drilled hole in roof next to heater exhaust. Cabling went down easy. Only 12 screws to undo on cabinets etc and that was only to see the wiring route. Peace of piss :)

Now where's that sunshine !

Hi Quifty, just want to point out if you have the dreaded ArSilicii system in your van and it is linked with the AL 310 or the AL320 power supply units, you don't have to buy a controller with your solar panels. They go direct into the power supply unit via a fuse in the positive leg. If you prefer a controller in line I can't see it mattering to much if you go straight to the batteries and bypass the power supply inbuilt controller. Sorry if I am telling you something you already know.
