I am in Morocco, nice and warm, at one time we owned a flat in Benidorm and I can assure you that you can get frost there, then we owned land at Finestrat, this went on for years, they are both sold now and Portugal well! I have been there when it was cold and rainy for weeks over winter so started going to Morocco, but you have to get down to the Agadir region to have the best weather Bambi 2

if you look at the weather records , statistically the warmest driest part of europe in the winter is south east spain
basically between benidorm and alneria
and frost overnight ? as bret said , frankly my dear , i don't give a damn ....so long as it is dry and sunny during the day so that I can be out and about

We are In Portugal Silves,the weather was great up to four days ago then high winds and rain but toda much better,cloudy sunny warm chilly at night, so it looks as if it is gettng better again,I would rather be here than at home in England,have,t heard or seen a Politician since before Christmas,he he.

I agree with Pat.. Morocco is as safe as anywhere in Europe IMO. There are thousands of European's in their motorhomes here at the moment! mostly French. Some 40,000 vans enter Morocco each year and along the coast you can see the hotels and apartments springing up as they embrace tourism
Moroccans are very friendly and helpful, although everyman has his price
We are in Essaouire at the moment and we have bumped into quite a few Brits in the two weeks we have been here.
They have 320 days of sunshine, So if your looking for sun get the ferry over. But unfortunately as the OP originaly requested it is not in Europe:lol-053:
