Overnighted on Corwen car park a few times and lots of times at Carrog.
Also at Betwesycoed station carpark

Give Llanberis a try to, you can wildcamp at Llyn padarn, a large lake with loads of parking, there are loads of wild spots in the area and Betws Y Coed is only 25 mins away!

sounds great , I see how i get on. I am near Cork at the moment and its a not even near freezing , so if it wasnt for a booked ferry i would stay right here.

my daughter living in south wales nr Cardiff says its just started snowing there, dont know about north wales though .

twas a boootifull day satdee.. had a blast on me bike to llandovery and back

only 65 degrees here today in the southern Peloponese,
low 70's forecast for tommorow thankfully.
kinda takes the edge off any homesickness

no sledges to be had in the shops here, so me and the wife took a big thick plastic bag 2 hours of real good fun in the park SLEDGING

Hope all you guys on the East and South of UK are managing ok with all this snow. Not so deep here in Mid Wales at the moment, about 4in, but the sky looks full of it, so anything could happen over the next 24hrs. Good luck.

guess the snow came too quick for the shops to get sledges in plus i don't pose it will stay long. we used a spare large roof vent cover `as mine are only 6 and 3 was plenty big enough
and was so cold they didn't last long before it was time for tea and biscuits in the van.
