according to the weather forecast for next week, it looks as if we are in for a good old icy blast and a fair bit of snow for a few days .lets hope its not too fierce .

Yes it looks grim for next week, I'm traveling to London on Tuesday evening, roll on the summer, long hot days, BBQs, sun sand sea etc etc, oh and yes cutting the bloody grass !!

Regards Tom

Hi Mandrake,
Did the icy blast leave us already? I think this expected new one will be a continuation for us here in the Welsh hills:( I haven't known it to be so cold for so long for many a year. Serves me right for not dissappearing to Portugal for the winter, oh well maybe this year.
Funny as it may seem you don't feel the cold the same when out and about in the Motorhome, or is that the wee drams kicking in?

Happy Camping :)

just been on the news this morning significant snow virtually all over britain mon tues and wed, and widespread disruption to travel . so the agencies have been warned in plenty of time, but whats betting they will not react sufficiently and soon enough

just thought i might cheer you all up but, it is snowing here in wombwell albeit light. my daughter has just set off for south wales and here lift has come from pennistone and he says its quite heavy there.

we are getting the od flurry but about the van why is it that the shower area always feel colder than the rest of the inside .

silly me dident think of that  must be getting old an senile :D:D

You'll have something coming up your way !:(
In the first half of the week we got a Channel-rat (storm) here -thanks for that . Then temperatures dropped way below 0. Today it still freezes in daytime (-3°C), but sunny, and there is a chilly east wind which makes it still colder. This night: froozen rain and snow. (>heading towards you !)
We didn't have decent weather yet this year. Warming up off the earth ?
My frozen ass !

Slippery

Red road alert tomorrow, monday, on the roads in the North of France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Weather forecast is very bad. It is still freezing and frozen rain followed bij snow is to be expected. Glazed frost, premature salt sprinkling won't hardly help to keep the roads safe.
Keep away from the slippery continent tomorrow

weve got a covering of snow not too bad though they say midlands is getting some and linconshire

I have a heater outlet in my bathroom - can't be cold when having a shower.

Bitterly cold outside.
