Winnats pass

Not sure I would try it on my old road bike with its little rim brakes, even when working, in the wet they are of little use so going down a hill like that??? With modern discs, more worried about sailing over the bars. Why do I cycle? They tell me it's good for my health:)

It would be more fun on a bike going down the remains of the old A625 across the Mam Tor land slip, gentler gradient and no traffic.

Good fun down on a mountain bike.... Then have a wander around the remains of Odin mine at the bottom...
Roych clough nearby was fun on a mountain bike AND in a landrover (used to be one of my local faves) till it was TRO'd...
We even used to use it as part of a route when we organised events at Hartington.

Not that long ago a lot of Royche the council cobbled as part of land management, Houndkirk Moor its kicking off now due to the idiots
