Will someone work this out for me

1 litre = 0.219 gallons

53.43 X 0.219 = 11.7 gall

mpg = miles/gall

326/11.70 = 27.86 mpg

Hi Jenny.

1 Gallon = 4.546 Litres.

53.43 Litres divided by 4.546 = 11.75 Gallons.

326 miles divided by 11.75 Gallons = 27.74

27.74 M.P.G.

27.74mpg!!!!! One is delighted with the decimal point accuracy of Jennys consumption figure for a 50cc scooter, and would ask that she wipe the grin off her face with immediate effect.

The Uman Rights Act does not permit inhuman or degrading treatment of those whose diesel consumption figure might begin with a 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disabused of Peckham:sucks:

fuel

Used my new Autotrail 2.3 this weekend fuel light onto fuel light back on again. fueled up with 35.800 ltrs divided it by 4.546 came up with 7.87 gal so ended up with 25.41 to the gal is that right.
Also camped at Clapton North Yorks £4.50 per night BRILLLL. Caravan and Camping Club Hol Site.

OH is delighted with the fuel consumption of van - I told him last night when he & Stonedaddy were trying the Doombar and Guiness at the Royal Oak at Andoversford, where we had been made most welcome. Had to tell him again this morning though as he hadn't remembered.

Thanks for calculations Woolie - I should have known how, but brain just wouldn't work - & I knew some kind people would soon do it for me.

Ha, ha, are you another O level maths failure too?

Can we have a dunce smiley please?

I usually ask Firefox to do my sums for me, he's pretty good at it.

I was just about to say that I think I'm about the same mpg as you with my Transit - I do between 400 and 450 miles per full tank which costs about £110 but that makes it price per mile doesn't it, not miles per gallon

Thanks wvw :)

Though I can't argue with DTDog's calculator. Very neat!

I usually expect 600 to 650 miles from a tank. Takes about £120 to fill up at £1.40 a litre. 90 litre tank at about 35mpg. Effectively about 18 gallons useable. 18gallons x 35mpg = 630miles. Sometimes it is less than 600 though, if a lot of town driving.

That's about 20p a mile. Not bad for a 2.5litre diesel. But I only got 32mpg on my Scotland trip.
