anyone know any good places for a1night stop near crowden c and camping club site at crowden

Any of the laybys along the woodhead pass....
There is a slightly off the road gate way more towards tinsel (Tintwistle)
Or possibly car park down at Dunsford Bridge.

There is a public car park adjacent to the site at Crowden foot another Car park opposite the yacht club on the Glossop road no idea whether there are overnight restrictions though the latter site I have seen vans the trail at the side ideal for walking dogs or cycling

Couple of flat layby spots on the Holmfirth road too

No overnight Signs in both of those carparks Channa... And the wardens call regularly.... Carpark at the start of the old Woodhead railway tunnel or one at Holm moss viewpoint are (or were) fair game....
Though are visited by the maccy ds and herbal cigarette brigade.
