I have not been fishing for a very long time, so thinking of buying some cheap lightweight sea fishing equipment and giving it a go.
dose any one have experience of wild camping and sea fishing any good spots for the summer preferable secluded.

I am traveling around the west coast of wales England and Scotland this summer with family so any advice would be greatly received.:help::):camper:

Llandudno Prom by the paddling pool is a favourite plenty of parking but no overnighting. Fish the tide there, plenty for family to see and do.

Travel 5 miles to the end of Colwyn Bay Prom. Good fishing and can overnight on the prom

From another of my posts:

Wild camp in Old Colwyn on the prom, coastal cycle/footpath pretty flat to Rhyl one way or nearly Llandudno the other

Local shops in Old Colwyn village inc Aldi, 2x Coops 2x butchers, hairdressers, chippy, 2x Chinese, 1x Indian, Kebab house and 4 pubs etc, you won't starve and the garage has Calor Cylinders

They've just pumped millions of tonnes of sand around the pier so there's nearly always dry sand, the new "visitor attraction" Porth Eirias opens later this month

Loads of people fish at the Old Colwyn End of Prom J22 A55 turn right along the prom, great except when there's a strong Northerly, then it gets fun!!

Scotland, Wester Ross etc provides loads of opportunities.....naturally mackerel on feather, Sea torut on spoon, worm, peeler, mussel etc I have never found easy to buy off the shelf, you either have to dig and find it there which can take time, or take it frozen with you.

Channa

just come back from Anglesey, the break water at Holyhead is a good spot, also we found Mackerel Rock a good place for mackerel fishing in summer has an isolated car park but it takes some finding to get there.

just north of Amlwch there is a good spot for fishing and plenty of space for wilcamping.

most of Sir Fon is good for fishing though.

Dinas Dinlla right at the far end is another good spot .

get on to E BAY ,,buy about 10 mackrel feathers (pay no more than £1 each) a light spining rod and reel ,a few 2-3 oz weights about £10....
