Wild camping - Rhyl

I am trying to find a fairly safe place for one or two nights at the end of May. Has anyone got up to date experience that would help?

I was in that area last week and Rhyl is a bit of a nightmare for free overnight but if you carry on to Old Conway , just a tad further down the coast yoy can park on the promenade and it has the bonus of some good clean public toilets which open at 9 in the morning until 9 at night . Do you mean Old Colwyn? Agree that Rhyl is best avoided. Llandulas is 10 km further west just off A55 and slightly neare than Old Colwyn. There is ample off road parking right on the sea front - Grid Ref SH905 786.
