Wild Camping Cambridge area

Hi Folks

I have just joined the site following a recommendation from a friend. I'm going to be traveling across England shortly with a possible night stop in the Cambridge area. I have downloaded the ipad App to assist me, but was wondering if any of your 'older campaigners' would be able to recommend somewhere. Nothing fancy needed and it does not necessarily need to be in Cambridge, on the edge of East Anglia about 2 hours outside Norwich. We are coming down from the Liverpool direction. thanks in advance - Dave:)

Which route are you planning from Liverpool
M6 - A14 - A11 or M62 - A1 - A17.

When are you doing it, I know Brampton wood near Huntingdon just off the a14 is on our poi list, Sunday 26th April they have a bluebell walk organised by the warden only half an hr from Cambridge cheers andy

I'll second this recommendation - lovely spot that we use occasionally.

Great butchers in Brampton called Measures. Try the 'Full Monty' breakfast baguette. Great pies too.

Ron likes a pie, I am partial to a foot long ;)
Special K shall we pick up a pie for Charlie ?
