Have downloaded the latest version for android as it says it fixes the problem of Google map not showing.

So my question is, why is the map still not showing? Is there further setup required.

You've used the compass symbol to show your location? - my screen looks blank until I do this but it's only because it needs to zoom out to see roads etc.

Have you tapped the man with the flag and selected the subset of POI s from the drop down menu?

You have GPS enabled?

Your device has enough memory to load maps?

Sorry if you've tried all this.

Elaine mine has my location on when I turn it on is that right?? Or should it be blank when it's turned on??

Yes, mine does too - but sometimes it's zoomed in so far (to do with what's in G Maps cache, I presume) the screen looks blank. I was clutching at straws, really, to try and help Talbot.

Thanks Elaine. I tapped the man and nothing happened, but then I tapped the circle above the man and it zoomed in to a map. So all good, thanks again.
