Wid camping in South Shields

Hi is there anywhere to park overnight in South Shields other then along the A183? Don’t really fancy staying along the main road. Cheers.

depends on the size of the van......we only have a camper....and have spotted a few ....maybe overnighter.....here and there. in the backwaters
have seen larger vans parked near roker beach. a few miles down coast road at sunderland....dont know if you can park overnight at marsden grotto...

Hi thanks all. The one at Roker is on road as well. We have an Autotrail Tracker 6.4 metres.

I have stayed in a public CP at roker/ seaburn, off the seafront road. Turn off the road at Morrisons roundabout. Pass supermarket entrance, follow the road and the CP is on the right.

Stayed in rugby stadium at redcar ( tap water )
