now.. not doin spanners is 1 thing, but what the dickens is this thing **** i thought...
it’s a min min power pack init...

so…plugs it in waits 10 mind and still nuffin....

reeeeet... the nastid thing must need charging too… i'll plug it in to the mains..

now i can see it charging as i tripe... but it disturbs me
it's a bout 12-15 times smaller than the battery under my bonnet
so how the frig is that thing going to be able to discharge sufficient power to my battery when i plug it in to my cig lighter ????

am i right or am i being cynical.. and will the pharty thing be big enough to do the job...

made in china... scare the pants of me this....

what's going to melt first....

regards ;)

your being cynical .modern tecnoalgy is a wonderful thing a j

if your cigy lighter is not live when the ingnition is not on I think you will need to turn it on before it will be able to put power back into your battery.

Interesting toy, ley us know how you get on :)

I have never known anyone have as many flat batteries as you have had in the short time i've known you. Time to sit down and think what your doing wrong...

I have sussed out what it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you want to know or what

:D:D:D:D

Its becasuse you drive far to fast, \and your battery wont charge, as by the time you get there you are switching the engine back off, Hence flat battery, Now if you drive slower say 55MPH you would get double the charge back into your battery .:D:D:D:D

AJ if you leave the batterys connected you do get some drain, alarm being one  although 5 days is sh***t so you might need a new battery before a bottle of MALT this week :D:D

.

leisure battery is connected to the fridge yer numpties..... init

as for the stigblock theory... it's a about as bullet proof as an M&S vest...

if i can run my garmin from the cig lighter socket without ignition then i assume this thingee will discharge through same plug ole without ignition ... solid theory is that:confused:

how long has this thingeemywhatsit have to be on charge before i can let it loose..

would be interesting to let it go live on here while we trype...

Aye ive just watched the promotional video for it, plug in fer 12 hours the guy says:D, I reckon 12 hours will only give it enough charge to power the interior light in your cab though:rolleyes:

i buy jump leads... i take it it is quite OK to connect the leads from the leisure battery
under the seat to the engine battery and then give it a squirt  ..yes..

Nope in general they run from the engine battery / alternator if you have left it on battery and the relay is stuck open it will discharge your battery.

Yes you can in an emergency use the leisure to start the van, not somethign to do all the time though.

BTW does your internal charger for the hab area not have a switch so that it will charge the engine battery ?

Yeah it would be there, on ours the rocker can be set to Van or Leisure Battery.

when in Van the 12v habitation electrics run from the cab battery which is not a good idea generally but as a consequence when the onboard charger is used in this position it charges the engine battery :)
It would be useful for you at this moment in time :)

You know if you have been leaving the fridge in 12v mode this would explain why the battery always goes flat on you when wilding :D :D :D
