An lea'e us nought but grief and pain,
For promis'd joy!

Still though art blest, compar'd wi me!

But Och! I backward cast an e'e,
On prospect drear!
An forward, tho I canna see,
I guess an fear.

must have been going through one of his more insecure moments... lol :)

We have managed to plan three slots in between band commitments this year, so hopefully heading up to west coast of Scotland for 2 weeks in May, France for 3 weeks in late June/July and then Spain/Portugal for 7 weeks in late August/September/October but no fixed itineries. Trying the long crossing back from Santander for the first time. 😄

My only plan is to turn right at Calais & carry on driving until it stops raining!

A Good Plan!
The only chunk of ours that's fixed is the rental: the rest will be quite flexible as is usual with us!

The only plan I hope to stick to is getting out in my home on wheels at least every fortnight excluding my 4 planned trips to Northern Scotland.
Managed 112 nights away last year, hopefully I will beat that this year.

My plan,is to get my van finished in time for a beer and sausage rally, at the end of april, in deepest Lancashire. After that, it is totally random, but Scotland is right on my doorstep.

We are also leaving these sunny shores in April to drive to Croatia via Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, NE Italy and Slovenia until mid June.

We will be staying at camping Stobrec near Split. 43.504083,16.526635

There's a very good chance that we will bump into you there as it is an ACSI site!

Our plan is hubby retiring in July. We were going to sell our business, but our son has now decided to hand in his notice to try and get voluntary redundancy (as quite a few have to go in April), and he is going to take our business over. Means we should be able to start having more time in our motorhome, can't wait.

Hi, we stayed at camping Stobrec last year. Its a well run site right on the shore.

A couple of small supermarkets and bakery within easy walking distance and the bus into Split runs every hour. Also small resteraunt on site.

We were surprised when we paid the bill to receive a 15% discount because of the building work noise.

We had not noticed any building or noise but being a gentleman I thought it best not to mention it.

I have 277 days to go to retirement according to my screensaver. :)

France in July

We are planning Normandy,Brittany,Loire and Poitou regions, just deciding if we go on the Ferry or take the tunnel, we have two small dogs.
We will possibly take each day as it comes and not have a set day by day destination.
I like the sea so will no doubt try and get Aires close to the beaches at night

I plan to get some health problems sorted, fit two more solar panels on the van and change the satellite dish to an 85cm one then hopefully away to France in September until after Xmas, if I can do a few meets in-between that will be a bonus

How we plan our return trip to the UK

We expect to leave the Algarve in early May, to be back in Cheshire for mid June .

Before we set out each morning, we pull 3 coins out of a pocket and count the heads,

1 head means go west at the main road junction, 2 heads for east, 3 for north.......

Great fun until we run out of time and have to book a ferry.

Try it and have an adventure !

1) Get a motorhome.
2) Annoy members at meets.
3) Lose weight.
4) Annoy members at meets.
5) Do more long walks to improve heath.

Ireland

I'm planning on visiting Ireland, both North and South - the West Coast has been on my Bucket List for a wee'while now.
Enjoy wherever the road takes you x

Steal Admins Camera when he keeps photographing everyone at meets. :)
