We decided to spend out first few nights on a site getting used to the van at a Caravanning and Motorhome site.
After setting up and enjoying a few drinks we put 'Oppys cheap and Cheerful' flashing lights on..... No harm done you would think

We were just doing that thing us human people call 'enjoying' themselves only to be told the next morning there was a complaint about us ....Apparently the complainers were worried that these lights would interfere with the planes landing and taking off at the local airport :lol-049::lol-049:

Seriously people if you wave we will wave too  we will say hello and invite you over, offer you food and drink and may even turn off the 'lights' if you ask nicely !!

So we are now proud to announce we are naughty buggers ...errrrr I mean tuggers :D

Shame on you Jac, flashing on a posh caravan site :lol-049::lol-049:

Lights

...were these 1000w lasers or just a few fairy-lights !! It's all down to taste and the quiet brigade verses the school hols let's party brigade.....time for tolerance.....by the way....where are you next week so we can go elsewhere LOL 😂 👿 Maja

We went round a mates to play cards recently and he put a bowl of Pistachio's on the table.

One of the lads said "blimey these nuts are a bit hard".

We then told him that you are supposed to take the shells off!

Hello stranger I wondered where you had got too :)
was talking about you the other day and our trip to Henrys ....

Hope your mate didn't lose a few teeth ...them shells are dangerous !!!

Funnily enough Jac, Julie and I were talking about it a couple of days ago!

Happy days, and a nicer bunch of tossers you would never meet. :)

Oppy I blame you for our 'Neon Light' show in the privacy of our own awning...
we are banned forever more on caravan and motorhome sites thanks to you ...

on second thoughts

Well so long as you enjoyed yourself, it doesn't matter if you disturbed other people.

The bit about the airport is OTT, but we have had nights ruined by inconsiderate neighbours with flashing lights on in the early hours.
When we have complained we have been told to go forth and multiply.

Of course it depends on the time and the amount of light, but put yourselves in the other person's shoes.

If we all thought about the impact of our actions on others the world would be a better place.

Don't blame me for you irresponsible usage. Someone complained about mine at a WC meet, but at least you were in foreign territory.:wacko::wacko:

We did enjoy ourselves thanks it was our first night in our new van so it was exciting to us as we have been vanless for some time....We were in bed by 9.00 absolutely shattered as it was a hectic day all round ...so we were hardly disturbing anyone.

Those that know us know we are very considerate people and would always think of others first. :D

Maybe they were having a joke with you about the lights

:wacko::wacko::wacko:

See you didn't realize how reasonable and normal wild campers are, no you had to think that those caravan and motorhome toff's were more on your level.
How wrong could you have been.
We will still welcome you back into the fold, we are so forgiving, well we will be after a few drinks.

Bye the way if you live in a house DON'T LEAVE THE LANDING LIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!`

The last time we went on a Caravan Club Site, as we were reversing onto the pitch, we noticed the neighbours drawing the curtains closed.
Nobody spoke to us for the whole of the stay! But there again, what do you expect when the Patron is the Duke of Edinburgh! Whatever does he know about camping!
On a lighter note, at the Station Inn, Ribblehead, we were delighted by everyone singing 'You'll never walk alone' with a sea of arms waving in the air, and when we saw in the middle of the crowd Daisyminis' leg (and boot) waving in time, I knew instinctively that we had joined the right club, and that we would have ten times as much fun with Wildcampers!
We are not members of the M & C Club anymore, we just don't feel that they have anything at all to warrant the expense.

Shine those lights Guys!! Show them what having a good time is all about!!

R&C xx

I do know that the Duke of Edinburgh has been on the site on his own and sat and chatted to the warden and the campers.

Now I would agree the royal family costs a lot of money.

But also you do get lovely clean public toilets at Sandringham.

He may well have done....... but it still doesn't sound like fun to me.

Jaq I'm pleased you enjoyed your first few nights in your van pity that someone complained about your lights!! Hmmm good job there not next to us ( no we're not noisy)!!! But we do get the odd person or two coming from the club!! Saying (shouting)goodnight!!and as for the lights there are a lot of people who have lights on all the time, around their awning!!
