Which way do I set the charger rocker switch

A very basic question - but only if you know the answer!
My Autosleeper Exec has an electrical switch panel above the rear door in the centre of which is a rocker switch that selects 'HAB' or 'VEH' battery charging when connected to 240 supply.
Is the battery selected when the rocker is depressed towards its name or the reverse?
The handbook that came with our second hand van does not explain this feature and I want to visit the farm where the van is stored and attach a petrol generator to the 240v supply in this cold weather.

Not hard to find out.
Take a reading and make a note of the voltage of each battery with a volt meter. Then simply connect your gennie and then check the voltage at each battery again . One of them will show an increased reading which will indicate which battery is recieving a charge. I would expect the switch to be down in the direction of the battery that is recieving charge.

Hi, when we had our Kontiki, it had a switch, vehicle was at the top so Switch pushed in at the top, and Hab was down to charge put it down.

This van charges both batteries when on hook up, might be worth you getting a Battery Master, then you never end up with a flat battery on the vehicle.

One easy way to find out, put a tester across the terminals of the liesure battery and get someone to switch to HAB, you will see the difference in voltage, but suspect that if you press the switch to HAB, then that's what is getting the charge, and vice/versa with switch set to VEH.

Frozen battery

Hi.Just a word of warning.
If the battery is flat it may have frozen.
****Don't try to charge when frozen,****take it home to thaw out then try to recharge. Try to put it somewhere that if it bursts it will not damage you !!! or anything else.

I'm pretty sure it would be when the switch is pressed towards the battery name in question. It would be very counter intuitive the other way. I have a zig switch marked "car" and "caravan" for the batteries and it works when the switch is pressed towards the name of the battery in question.

Autosleeper charge switch.

On my Autosleeper with the hook up connected if you press the switch toward VEH it charges the engine battery and towards HAB it charges the leisure battery. The third position between the other two allows you to use mains hook up without either battery being constantly on charge.

Hi on my auto /exec the switch, says 12v at top /on at the bottom
