Which levelling blocks

I've never had anything made by Fiamma that hasn't been short lived rubbish.
On the few occasions that we're so far off level that I bother with them, our Milenco triple have been up to the job.
I would have thought that a rock god would looking at blowing a few thousand on those kickass hydraulic doohickeys anyway

I really don't like the look of these ludicrously expensive levelling systems where the wheels end up in the air. Same opinion (Right or wrong) applies. I wouldnt want my wheels hanging off the ground for two or three weeks either.

These are not even genuine Fiamma blocks either. I Cant remember where I got them. I think they were about twenty quid.

Those Quattro's are clearly a lot higher than the Triples. They are huge. However every video I find shows them with small vans and the smaller 15" wheels. I reckon my biguns will not fit in that top pocket without being squashed onto the one below and that can't be good long term for a tyre surely.

I will post a second time, we have 16" wheels, yes they are 'distrorted' by the ramps, that has never been a problem, often times I've ended up on uneven ground with one tyre directly on the 'bump', never a problem.

How long for though? As in how long did you have the tyre up there distorted?

I have the triple set and 16 inch wheels no issues whatsoever Barry.
I had the Quattro for my previous two vans, the last had 16 inch wheels again no issues.

I would guess maybe a week at a time, and sometimes the distortion can look a bit extreme, but the longest time my tyres will have been 'distorted' will be if left for months at a time parked at home without moving, due to gf's treatment this last year the van went for 9 months only moving once for a MOT.

Sure, they will fit better, but if they don't fit perfectly and your reasoning is valid, well, you are still causing damage, albeit less, I guess.

I wouldn't leave my van parked half on a curb edge, and certainly not for 4 weeks. Now' I have zero idea if damage will be done, but I get your reasoning.
On the other hand, if tyres can cope with pot holes, etc then I can't see them getting damaged on a ramp, apart from the 4 weeks bit

Mine is a sprinter 4100 kg with 16 inch wheels and I don’t have a problem with the quatro ramps

We was on the Park Coppice, CC site ( now CAMC ) many years back when a woman had to be taken to hopital with serious burns after the pan of stew she was boiling / heating up slid off the cooker all over her.

When i saw the angle she`d managed to park at half way up the bank in the far corner of her pitch it`s a wonder she could even walk inside it

I kept the Milenco Quattro levellers because i also use them when servicing the car.

Drive up the ramps then jack up and lower the rear wheels onto wooden sleepers so the car sits level.

Very very safe as the car is back on all 4 wheels and there`s enough room even for a big bugger like me to get right underneath safely.

They weigh less, have no moving mechanical parts to go wrong, if going somewhere I know I won’t need them I can take them out, they’re easy to use, turn up leave engine running, get levellers out position them, drive in to them whilst watching spirit level, job done.
It reminds me of NASA who spent millions devising a pen that would work in zero gravity, the Russians simply used pencils.

Sadly not quite true Bill. A private company invested $1 million in developing a pen which would work in space or underwater or in extreme temperatures.

NASA did buy 400 of these at $6 each which was a wise investment as broken pencil leads would be a fire hazard.

I prefer the myth version though and will use it in my local at some point.

Totally agree. To be honest the crap cheap "Jumbo" blocks are generally ok and enough to get somewhere near. I think I even have a spare one at home that could replace the cracked one. Its just the odd occasion like where we are now they are not quite high enough to get totally flat.
