Yes yes I know I could have googled it or read thousands of threads but where is the fun in that?

These "Jumbo" blocks I have are crap. They used to be great for the old van as it had little wheels but this one has massive wheels and as you can see they dont really fit on the block step. That block looks tiny but it is a Fiammia (copy) Jumbo. And its cracked and will be resigned to the bin soon.

What I need is something thats higher really. Some of those Milenco ones look massive but they also look like they might damage the huge tyres.

Thoughts?

I've destroyed several sets of plastic blocks....
Usually OK on grass BUT as soon as you need to use them on gravel.... Bits start falling off them.

I carry a small selection of wooden blocks and 4 traction mats

Covers us for most height differences AND sandy/damp ground as well as giving flexibility height wise.

Nice idea, but very bulky and on the 3 videos I watched they only raised the caravan an inch or so and that was the end of the clip so I was a bit suspicious as to why they didn't raise them any higher?
"This light weight aluminium level is complete with carry case. It easily lifts 1000kg per wheel (Caravan 2000kg, Motorhome 4000kg). Weighs less than 5kg and comes with its own ratchet which enables precise levelling, with minimum effort. Simply slide under the wheel and use the supplied ratchet to lift or lower the caravan or Motorhome, no need to crawl under the Caravan or Motorhome to use. The screw bar has 250mm of lift but when using this lift will be reduced due to the clearance range between the tyre and lifting frame. In most cases actual lift is around 120mm - 180mm subject to ground conditions. Singles - You will require two for Twin Axles."

Have been using Milenco for 14 years and they have never damaged a tyre.
I have been using Millenco plastic levelling blocks on all types of surfaces for over 9 years now. Because of limited space I had to sell the largest ones and buy the next size down. I like the way each level is curved allowing you to use them to the max, with less chance of driving of the edge.

Cheers

There seems little difference in height between the quattro and the triple. The Triple to me looks like its got a wider pocket than the Quattro. I wonder if the three step one would be better for the larger wheels.

The larger ones take up twice as much space and weigh twice as much Barry. Also trying to get them back into the bag is a real pain. I have been using the smaller triple set for two years now, and they get us level most of the time.

Why would the Milenco ramps damage the tyres?

Probably a stupid comment but they look like they have some quite sharp bits and the ones we have now are solid. My thoughts were what would the long term effect be on they tyres having a four ton van up on them for some considerable time. Take this CL we are on now. We could be here for weeks sometimes and its not flat.

Its the height thats important as well as the ease of use. The triples look a bit easier for a large wheel I think. I think there is 0.8cm in it between the two in height difference so I assumed they were maybe similar in size. Storing them is not an issue as I have a large space in the Garage for them.

I've never had anything made by Fiamma that hasn't been short lived rubbish.
On the few occasions that we're so far off level that I bother with them, our Milenco triple have been up to the job.
I would have thought that a rock god would looking at blowing a few thousand on those kickass hydraulic doohickeys anyway
