Where will i find the relay?

It is important to know the conversion type, Autosleeper/Nu Venture/Swift/Hymer/Rapido etc. as well as the model number (mine is a 2002 Hymer 584 based on a 2.8jtd Fiat for eg.) because they all put the relay/relays somewhere different, Citroen Relay is just the base vehicle and doesn't help with the position or type of relay the converter would have used
 
Thanks Tezza, it's an autosleeper conversion. The leisure battery is under the front passenger seat.
 
With Auto-Sleepers both relayS are at the side of the leisure battery under the seat.

Which model and what year do you have don't you have the Auto-Sleepers handbook ? Post the model number if not I may have an online one

This is why we need you to keep posting and helping Alf, I didn't know that, members who have had similar vehicles have a vast knowledge to help other members
 
I could be wrong here and put my foot in it but we have had more than 10 Auto-Sleepers and never known them to use a Citroen van base they prefer the Peugeot van base so it's important to give as much information Van type year engine and conversion name etc help will then be more forth coming

PS. It now worries me I have checked the Manufacturers Data Base and Auto-Sleepers have never convertered a Citroen Base Van.

I have only had one Autosleeper and it was Peugeot based, 2001 Autosleeper Palermo, bought it new but didn't keep it long enough to find out where anything was, should have bought an earlier one when they were the best

carol, some of these replies are quite valid, but yiu need to be sure you have the proper advice before messing with this or yiu could cause more damage. the two issues you mentioned are not likely linked.......your fridge should not be connected to leisure.......if yoiur fridge is still cooling on 12v, the problem more likely the leisure charging system........if your not sure take to a professional electrical place.......steve bristol

but its a 2 minute job to see if the LB is getting charge :p

Carol if you feel up to try this

without turning the engine on does the fridge switch light up IF so its wired to the leisure battery Or the charging Relay is shorted out in the ON position

If the Fridge switch lights UP ..... try this

Genuine Auto-Sleepers wire the fridge and charging relay to the alternator no volt light,... so will only work when the engine running.
under the drivers seat at the side of the battery is 2 relays they are both the same type remove both relays they just pull out try the fridge now
if it lights up its wired to the Leisure battery, if it not its most likely the charging relay stuck or shorted out.

If you don't feel up to it call at a Auto Electrician or Caravan Dealer and ask them to have a look they should be aware te relays are fed from the No Volt light circuit.

Thanks Alf. The fridge will only run on 12v when the engine is running. Will have a go at your suggections...

OK. Disconnect one lead from the leisure batter and try it again
