Where are we????
I know that there are POI set up for finding wild camping spots, but it suddenly occurred to me that there might be wild campers actually based/living in the next street/town to us and we never knew it.
After all it is quite a subversive pastime. The question is ,, Is there a way, already set up on this site to find wild campers local to where one lives. That way very localized meets could be arranged. Just a thought.

That said, and done, but still is there an easier way than trawling through all the individual members looking to see where they live?

Rather rude maingate! could have been said with more tact.

vive la paix

i'm not sure why people seem to be so paranoid that they are scared to tell what county they are in or what vehicle they drive.am i missing something here?

Thanks for the support David. Very eloquently put. As you have often pointed out, we Northerners can be a little terse and even blunt at times. It's a deliberate attempt at hiding our warm hearts as we get embarassed easily.

Having done my homework, it seems that Mr/Mrs/Ms slippers has been a Politician all most of his/her working life, which means they have enforced restrictions on we wildies. Now the gamekeeper has turned poacher. :D

On top of that he/she has the unmitigated gall to announce that he/she is a Stoke City supporter. It would seem the high standards that this forum once enjoyed is now in tatters. :(

And as for the OP ardupbegger, who wants to be friends with somebody who has got nowt. He will be scrounging me Woodbines all the time.

Not everybody wants to divulge too much info about themselves on a web forum.

Some people prefer to be incognito for a variety of reasons, some will be valid.
You can't force them to divulge personal information.

Quite right, too.

Me? I don't give a bugha.
What you see is pretty much what you get, I'm afraid. :lol-053:

PS Oh, and some people won't know which bit of their profile they need to update cos they are still learning how to use Tinternet :)

We men have been having a pretty normal discussion and then some wifey comes along and spoils it.

She wouldn't get away with that in Saudi Arabia. :mad1:

I think thats a really good idea, ardupbega (great name by the way!) Don't know how we could do it though. Maybe Admin could add a section for region with a specific list to the profiles? And also add a way to search for all people in a particular region? Phil might know if its been tried before:banana:

yeah, whats the point of having all these trousers ? bit of respeck innit

I'll have you know Ive actually been to Saudi Arabia!

Gerraway back to the Iceman thread, you...you... you... Neanderthal! :p :lol-049::lol-053:

I have fond memories of Saudi Arabia.

The time they locked down and Jeddah and I had to go through a dozen Police checkpoints with 2 bottles of Saddiqi (illegal hooch) in my pickup was NOT one of them. I had to drink half a bottle to get rid of the nervous tremors. :lol-049:

I was in Riyadh for 3 months.

Don't ask. :ninja:

hello from mrs slippers.

yep, mr slip was a local councillor for a few years but spent his working life as a bog-standard firefighter and me as a bog-standard nurse. nowt special there and i'm confused by your accusations. but as stoke city supporters we do think we are a bit special ;-)

it takes a lot to embarrass us after a lifetime in our occupations.
