What transport do you use with your camper?

Hi all, happy new year to all as well.

Just curious as to what you guys use as transport when you get to a site.

Some sites we have been on don't like you driving on and off, and in the Lakes, it can be a pain to park where you want, and have to resort to coach car parks at exorbitant price. So what do you use, bikes, electric bikes, micro cars on trailers, motor bikes. etc.etc.

Cheers

I have a sledge for the puppy to tow me around. only problem was when she chased a squirrel up a tree, Never again.:D:D We use the bus or walk
Down in devon its £26-00 quid for a week ticket on stagecoach buses throughout Devon and some parts of Cornwall. Or if your an old codger likes AJ you could go free.:D:D

Legs, bikes (pedal not motor) or drive MH if on "proper campsite"

Must admit that we use a couple of electric bikes, legs getting old don't you know. The idea was we would use them as normal bikes and only power when absolutely necessary, but now we don't pedal at all. To easy, especially when you've been to the pub. Quick recharge overnight and away you go again.

Smart fourtwo as you can see in the Avitar

Yes we use a 4/2 on a smart trailer. Bit of a pain strapping wheels down but necessary job. Also noticed it doesn't seem to effect the mpg of the van [Hobby 750]. Can get the two dogs in the back of the 4/2, looks dead comical them looking out the back... What van do you use? Cheers

125 Yamaha we carry in the garage, other than that walk or public transport.

We use a drive away awning when on a site. This serves to reserve our pitch and allow use of the the van to get around.
I run a Smart fortwo cabbie at home and can't decide if it is worth the hassle of trailering it when we go away.

Always carry the tandem, and sometimes take the motorbike on a trailer!

My Kangoo Roo is a car conversion so I'm lucky in that it's a doddle to park and goes wherever we go.

Hi all,

Just saw the new argos book today and there are fold up 6 gear bikes available for about 170 euro each, a good idea for zipping around after parking in a site.

You might enjoy this one then, my steed for this summer a circa 68 - 72 Carlton racer.

I am currently trying to research its history, it is far from original.

I have owned it for 5 years and want summat that doesnt look anything like flash

100cc scooter. Love it but crashed it in the snow in Devon a couple of weeks ago. Great in the summer in France though!
