When we're wilding the leisure battery is depleted very quickly if we use the heating - what do other people use for heating when wilding? We're going to Wales for Xmas and would like to be warm!

Quite honestly I would get your battery checked out. What size is it?

I've seen portable gas heaters on Amazon, that work on the little cylinders like the portable gas hob that we love so much. Maybe they would do the job...obviously would need to be attended at all times !!

Jackie;)

Not sure I would like the idea of a gas heater in an enclosed space...

Best bit was some of it was concessionary he worked for't pit so got some subsidised...Flippin King Arfur of Scargill never mentioned that did he :( In his ploitical brawdcasts !!!!!

Get a bigger battery, and if you stay at the same spot for a few days get a small generator. We have a small sterling sinewave generator fr emergencies.

We use a Maplin 12v electric blanket to take the chill off the bed whilst driving to the wildy, then the Truma blown gas central heating, which plus TV etc has never let us down over a long weekend (100amp/hr lesiure battery).

As others have said I think your battery is either duff or not getting a full and proper charge via the split charger.

I have got an Aga, runs 8 radiators and can burn coal wood or local natives. :D

Heats loads of hot water and can fry eggs on the top. :D

Beat that Nosha.

The Welsh burn better, I think its the anthracite they have breathed in.

The trouble is though, they are short and stocky and its a bugger getting them through the fire door. Sometimes, I have to chop them up first.

I got chucked off a Caravan Club site once for doing that. Bleeding jobsworth Site Warden. He said I stained his grass.

I hope maingate has upped his rear springs and tyres... those Aga's are bloody heavy!!
