At a meet up yesterday with members of another forum locally in NI, I was asked how many MPG did the Regius do...and I couldn't answer because I'd never bothered to work it out....then I thought it might be an idea to put up here what each of our vehicles does (if you know with reasonable accuracy)...so that any prospective new Motorhome owners know what to expect with running costs...or you could check to see if yours is roughly on track or are you getting a lot less possibly indicating a problem...
Bearing in mind that if you are running on dual Petrol/LPG the offical opinion is you get 20% less miles per gallon when running on LPG....though no loss of performance..
so I worked it out today...
Toyota Regius 4 wheel drive to the gallon ....LPG : 20 (19.88) miles - Petrol : 25 (24.85) miles
Did a run tonight of 134.9 k round trip and used 19.14 litres of LPG at a cost of £14.14p
Update - Wait a mo...i'm going to have to eat humble pie here...forgot this is an import and the darned odometer is still in kilometers,
so I'll have to change those miles and that changes things!
(I posted an almost identical post on www.motorhomecraic.com so more information on particular motorhome figures may be also availabe to view there).
