What a lovely old bus this is

Proper old school classic. 4.6T I reckon, either 409D or 410D? 409D I'd guess, be handy if the sellers knew if it were a 3 litre or a 2.9 :ROFLMAO: don't think 409D was available in UK as a van, but quite possibly as a MH.

I don't think there would be an issue with parts, and if there is they'll be a place in Germany, failing that, they'll be loads of parts in Morocco.

Seriously thinking about one of these little cuties. If I decide to get rid of current van.

Great engine and van, loads still on the road over here, empty your pockets you tight g-t, you canny take it with you.

The owner of CAK tanks had one. At 500,000 miles he thought it probably needed a decoke so he took the head off and removed the valves. They didn’t need doing so he replaced it all. At 1.3 million miles he sold it. Years later he met the guy who bought it and it was on 3 million miles.

Passenger might be a bit jumpy over when overtaking on A and B roads.
How many times have you overtaken anything on A or B roads?
Mine is L/D, great in Europe but it isn't a problem here, you have to make sure you get the angle right at junctions to see if it is clear, but that is easy enough, I usually only overtake tractors or cyclists but even then, only if I can see a long clear road in front

Quite a lot actually, but maybe not so much in the van, but you do get slow drivers, and I would normally overtake if I can see far enough ahead. This van is only supposed to be 100bh, but drop it a gear or two, and it does take off, might be due to it being a 5-speed, not 6.

Of course, this is RHD, and of course my comment was in mirth, not serious. I have no desire to scare Liz.
