We are heading out for a short break next week and so I was perusing Google Earth on the computer to look at spots from the POI sets.

We are getting up to speed with what3words so I found that by using the Lat and long in GE they can be translated by w3w into, well, what3 words.

By right clicking on a pin in GE , and then left clicking on properties, the GPS numbers appear. They can be copied and pasted into this: https://www.dcode.fr/what3words-coordinates and the out put from that is the spot. I then enter the three words into https://www.dcode.fr/what3words-coordinates to check it's right and so far it's been spot on, literally.

That will be brilliant. I normally use lat & long to get to remove places. But have a Sprinter with built in sat nav & it used to take Lat & Long but now wont. I think there must have been a software update & now fails to recognise 53. etc.

It might be easier to look on the W3W app map once you have found the place, it gives you the option of using google as your map for navigation.

I’m visiting a poi on Friday and another on Saturday.

Just made a mental note once past Littleport stay on A10, first left, done.

Then A47 to Yarmouth, TL at roundabout, 2nd roundabout turn right, 4th left, pub comes up on right, job done.

Sat nav’s are great, but people rely on them too much imo
