Very pleasant in fact....
Bank Holiday crowds have mostly evaporated, so us, local dog walkers and the watersports crowd (including us with the New Kayak...)
Can't get the Mrs out of the kayak.... And cracking spot for some sheltered paddling.

Have you tried margarine?

(Lovely spot BTW. Don't recognise it as anywhere in s Wales. Up north, perhaps )
I've even tried the offer of wine lol....

It's Towyn headland....
No overnighting on the field BUT parking during the day is fine...

Then park on the dead end road overnight....
No hassles (occasional train)
Busy at times with local dog walkers/paddle boarders/kayakers/swimmers.

Lovely safe stretch of water and easy access to beach a short walk under the bridge.

Very nice I may head there this weekend
Can you confirm if its Towyn Headland by Rhyl in North Wales or Tywyn Headland in West Wales near Barmouth
Thank you Mistericeman

Here is a precise what3words address, made of 3 random words. Every 3 metre square in the world has its own unique what3words address.

Lovely but a

for the use of the anglicised place name. I have to insist that you use the Welsh Tywyn from now on

PS You and I must go to the same barbers!

It wouldn't be so bad IF they didn't keep changing the spellings...
I've barely gotten over Porthmadoc/Porthmadog...

Been a long time since I crossed a barbers threshold I can tell you lol

I grew up in Tywyn, and the name debate was supposed to be settled in the 1960's (before my time). My parents had a shop in the 70's and 80's and we regularly had lorry drivers turn up who should have been near Rhyl 🙈. Even happened to a coach load of school kids once!

Diolch / Thanks GMJ!

News clip about the "Big Name Referendum":

Trip out to Aberystwyth today for supplies...
Called at the rugby club to use their elsan dump and water point (donation through the door after speaking to a very helpful chap on the phone for permission and gate code)
Actually a lovely spot to stop the night if you wanted to explore Aberystwyth itself...
Very peaceful and pleasant (chap offered that we could park and explore after, using facilities if we wished for no further charge)
Absoloute bargain for an overnight at £10 with water/elsan.

Back at Borth Golf club now hoping for another epic sunset.

Have a look on the visit Tywyn web cam. Looking lovely. A couple of MHs parked up at the mo. (y)
Gone a bit hazy over at Borth....

But been glorious today.... Suspect down at Tywyn headland it was busy with folks on the river.

Wandered up to Shell Island for a couple of days or so...

Not cheapest (though in fairness they haven't taken the P though like some...)

Surprisingly quiet.... And a lovely evening

If heading to the main Tywyn Car Park note the railway bridge is 10', we had one of those, better get out and check moments as it was a bit tight!
Subsequent visits we go via Neptune road instead.

Spot on.... I wouldn't risk that bridge in a smart car ;-)

Well looks we've lost the Luton bed window between Borth and Llanbedr....

To be fair it HAD split at the bottom seam anyway....
No damage to body thankfully....

And a chunk of Income for O'learys.....
And a job for when we get home....
Hope it doesn't rain ;-)
