We've had snow over 2000ft. for about 10 days. Today it's come down to just over 500ft. so some of the higher roads have a dusting.

snow no snow here but a glorious sunny day for the most ,in fact i have been out in a short sleve shirt earlier and we are sat with no heating on in the flat :p:D:D

If the weather stays that good you might get an influx of motorhomes wild camping in your area,are you near the beach LOL :cool:,shawbags.
 
yes about a 20 min walk .clear blue sky again and sunny ,where the hell is the snow i want to snowball the wife and build a snowman boo hoo Google Maps we live in north cornelly
 
Google Maps there is a nice large car park at the side of the nature reserve center ,i have seen vans overnight there but never used it myself so cannot comment on it. so i cannot realy put it as a wilding stopover for canalsmans poi file .

Woke up this morning to snow at our house which is about 100ft but we have had snow on the mountains for most of the week.

were about 8mles from Porthmadog inland.

yep they say we are due snow by the weekend ,but i have been told by the locals that they get very little snow in this area .
 
Setting off for home tomorrow to be ahead of the snow forecast for Spain and France over the weekend/early next week. Not sure that it will be better at home, but we don't come to the continent for winter weather:rolleyes:

We set off on the 17th November and got to Cartegena (South of Spain) yesterday. Set up Sky and saw that Consett, near where we had been, had had snow so it looks like we just left in time. Temperature yesterday was 18.5c and got down to 12c last night.

Weather not so good today as it is cloudy and only 13.2c. Madrid was -3c according to the TV this morning.
 
Anybody near Ponteland Newcastle ?

Would appreciate weather /road update if poss

I'm staying at home my van would be like a fridge in snowy weather,unless i had bad flatulence :eek: there is no heating in it yet,shawbags.

I am not far from Ponteland (just oor the watter:D)

The main roads are fine if you avoid morning rush hour. You did not say when you are travelling but the forecast for Saturday is very cold with the odd shower. Sunday is forecast to be heavy snow. The wind is moving round to an Easterly and getting stronger which could bring more snow next week as well.
