Weather Site That the Professionals Use

I just let the dogs out, if they come back dry the weather is OK, if they come back wet it is raining, if they come back with their fur ruffled it is windy, if they don't come back we have had a tornado, it is foolproof :p

xcweather comes as an app for those that prefer that to just book marking

Hi
Have you used this app, does it use much data?. We've been using the Accuweather app, but find it uses a lot more data than using Accuweather site on line.

I asked our Nephew, Humber Pilot, to recommend a reliable forecaster, who doesn't rely on seaweed, pine cones or goat entrails.
He uses :Wind Map - Britain Observations when bumping about on the briny. It helps to stop him bashing into the big expensive boats.

I like it.

This is really good! At last a site that gives proper wind info......especially for us folk who are near the coast. Thanks J.

Talking of the weather, Paul, how long is this crappy weather in Portugal going to last?

Looks like another week so far but all these online forecasts are based on the same data and more than a couple of days ahead is iffy. When I was sailing I used to get the raw GRIB data and watch how the forecast changed from day to day, if it varied very little then it was likely to be a good forecast, if it changed a lot from day to day it was almost certainly going to be wrong
