Been there............

If it makes you feel any better Garth..................been there......done that!...........still finding bit of glass too! :)

Thought about this a bit more and came up with what I think is the best solution....I bought a length of non slip matting out of Halfords for £12 and cut it to shape to cover the glass of the sink and cooker and surrounding surface so if the glass breaks then the mat should contain the glass (hopefully) which in theory should then fall into the sink and around the cooker rings and so be easily removed. It also doubles then as a non slip surface when the units are in the closed position.

A friend of mine who has a year 2000 caravan tells me when he closes the top the gas goes out does anyone know if this is this true.
My motor home is 2003

100 percent true a lot of the mobiles I worked on had this arrangement.

If I had a tenner everytime I was called out , only to find that a lid hadnt been elevated properly and gas supply poor etc >>>>>>I could be rich

Channa

I should add that glass lids etc do not nececcarily mean the gas is switched off upon closing, dependant upon mopdel etc

I came in without wiping my feet and my WIFE exploded! No similar size replacement available!
!

This surprised me , because when the glass lid is closed it shuts off the gas supply to the oven and i assumed it did the same to the burners , obviously not , mmm , glad you got it sorted anyway .
