Waving

I'm with Rog and do the same.

There's enough misery, fear and anger in the world already, so it's nice to show a little friendliness, even if it does seem a bit daft. (y)

I used to do it as a motorbiker, don't see any difference with campervans. 🤷‍♀️
Its just an acknowledgement that you share a common interest (but in both cases not so common?) and enjoy the same pastime/lifestyle etc.

If they wave back its a 'Yesss!' and feels like a result.
If they don't wave back you can have a good old grump and mutter 'miserable b***' instead - win/win whatever ;) :ROFLMAO: 😁

Either way, it passes the time on the road. Similar to playing 'I Spy' .... 🤪🥴
I don't wave as TBH I am focussed on watching the road.

Linda does the waving and she always loves it when it's returned or started by the other van :D

I wave to campervan drivers....and most wave back but not the super large mohos. I can remember when everyone with an AA badge on the front of his car waved to other AA members.....Jings that was a long time ago!!

Not only that, but there was a time when AA patrols mostly used motorcycles and sidecars (I'm just about old enough to remember them). They used to salute members when they saw the AA grille badge but wouldn't salute if there was a nearby police speed trap!
