There's enough misery, fear and anger in the world already, so it's nice to show a little friendliness, even if it does seem a bit daft.
I used to do it as a motorbiker, don't see any difference with campervans.
Its just an acknowledgement that you share a common interest (but in both cases not so common?) and enjoy the same pastime/lifestyle etc.
If they wave back its a 'Yesss!' and feels like a result.
If they don't wave back you can have a good old grump and mutter 'miserable b***' instead - win/win whatever![]()

Why a mirror when you cany see out the back.I don't see any thing wrong with waving. Can't see the connection with hand of wheel. You take the hand of the wheel to change gear. Possibly readjust mirror. Taking your eyes of the road. Why you wave with your hand surely. Not with your eyes. I think the danger is when the driver is watching the other Moho to see what type. Driver. Did they wave back. Etc. The actual waving. No worries. Brian
