Water pump issues

Update, after talking to the manufacturer they advised to change the pump, so have upgraded, at their suggestion, to a Shurflo Trail King 10li /30 PSI. Fitted and is working nicely, however is a little noisier than the last, any comments / suggestions on how to reduce the noise.

It is screwed directly to a panel and so I guess the pump vibration is causing the noise. Suppose I could mount it on a rubber pad to reduce the vibration/ noise.

In talking to a local converter they stated that if the system doesn't have an online filter then debris could be in the diaphragm. I have now added a filter.

So took the pump apart and low and behold there was some black plastic swarf but on putting it back together this did not solve the issue, so will need to take apart again and clean.

It hought 2CVs were air cooled. Ah. But maybe the single cylinder version (the 1CV) was water cooled. . . . . . .
 
Is that where the hot water is collected in a Thermos, and later when the engine is stopped, the Thermos is opened to allow the heat to escape?
