Wanted small capacity pure sine wave inverter for charging electric toothbrushes etc as I believe the chargers don’t work on modified sine wave versions.

A very good option :)

I would suggest Amazon as the place to go though .... Victron Energy Inverter Phoenix Connector VE Direct SCHUKO
The 12/250 Model is £85. This seller provides the inverters with the SCHUKO socket (European round 3 pin) rather than the UK 13A Socket, but that socket is actually more solid and a better fit (the lead on a 13A moulded plug fouls a little on the base when the Inverter is mounted)

(just an aside - Victron quote VA not Watts in their model numbers, so the 180 is not 180 Watts, the 250 is not 250 Watts, etc. knock around 15% off to get the Wattage)

Don't bother. You can get a usb charger for Braun toothbrushes for less than the p&p on a psw inverter, and it uses much less power.

Thank you for your suggestion, never crossed my mind to look for a usb charger. Ideal, will purchase one in the near future.
Cheers

I wasn't aware of the USB charger, but I have a Braun Oral B brush which operates from AA batteries (alkaline or rechargeable). It's OK but not as good as the normal one.
Just had a quick search, the only USB chargers I can find are 3rd party ones, can't find any official Braun ones, still looking,,,,,,,,

I don't think that Braun do one, I know that Phillips make a USB toothbrush but they don't make USB chargers for their normal brushes, I got a third party USB charger for my Sonicare and it works okay, only thing I can say is if the brush is flat it takes ages for it to fully charge it but what I do is put it on the USB charger after each use and it keeps it fully charged ready for the next time.

My dental hygienist always comments how clean my teeth are. Electric toothbrushes simply do a better job.

At the risk of extending the 'Thread creep', from my experience I can do without one of the usual twice yearly polish and scrape at £42 a shot. So a leech toothbrush makes sense.

Cheers
