Stopovers around Stoneleigh
You may be able to find a stopover by the side of the road in the area around Stoneleigh NAC although when there is an event on the police might put out no parking cones. The B4113 is busy at times as a popular route from Coventry to Leamington. There is a metalled layby south of the NAC closer to Blackdown and informal places to the north where dog walkers park to access parts of Stoneleigh Park.
There are a couple of spots in Kenilworth and a couple more some miles to the south visible to full members on the Wild Camping POIs. Definitely worth joining as one or two nights at a POI saving the cost of a pitch on a camp site would recoup your investment.
There is a public car park in Kenilworth town centre behind the Library, accessible from Barrow Field Lane. It used to be possible to park overnight there but you would need to check this out for yourself to confirm whether this is still allowed.
Farmer's Fayre on the NAC site does good food during the day but not evenings.

Things to do around Stoneleigh
There is a short pleasant walk starting from the B4113 north of the NAC main entrance through a field to the northwest then down hill to cross the river into Stoneleigh village. There are walks around the Abbey which lies to the south of the NAC starting from the Gatehouse which you can find on the web.

There are many country walks within a few miles of Stoneleigh see Landranger maps 140 and 151. Level walks along the Grand Union Canal are popular. It runs through Warwick and Leamington then either southeast towards London or northwest towards Birmingham. The Coventry Canal starts near the town centre and runs in a generally northerly direction. This map puts it all in context: Coventry Canal | Canal & River Trust

There are some NT properties not too far away which can be found on the NT web site. Compton Verney Art Gallery, a few miles south down the Fosse way, has its own web site. Chesterton Windmill, a bit further south down the Fosse way, is a popular spot, short walk from road.

I don't have time to give lots of detail so the following is a scattering of interesting places starting nearby then going further afield.

5 miles to west - Kenilworth Town and the Castle, interesting walk to west where site of Henry Fifth's "Pleasance in the Marsh". Purlieu Ln, Castle Green to High Street and Abbey Fields is the oldest/prettiest part of the town.

6 miles to south west - Warwick Town and the Castle. St Mary’s Collegiate Church and Beauchamp Chapel. Hill Close Gardens. I think Leamington Spa is not so interesting but you may not agree. Pump Rooms museum is interesting.
Where to Visit – Visit Warwick

6 miles due north - Coventry Cathedral ruin and "new" building, Some interesting old buildings survived the blitz. Also Spon St where old buildings from elsewhere in Coventry were relocated.
Historic Coventry, UK.
Herbert Museum and Gallery - interesting local history and some art, free entry.
Home - The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum
Coventry Motor Museum - Good and free entry.

16 miles to south west - Stratford on Avon Town, Church and RSC.

17 miles south by southeast - Burton Dassett Hills country park - pay car park.

21 miles south by southeast - Edgehill Civil War Battle site & Upton House and Gardens NT.

24 miles south by southwest - Ilmington Downs: a nice walk but if you want to take it easy you can drive up the hill from Ilmington on a choice of three lanes that cross Pig Lane which you can follow on foot along the ridge with views to north and south. Highest point in Warwickshire.

30 miles to south west - Broadway Town and Broadway Tower. There are good views and a good cafe/restaurant near the tower. Good walk up from town to the Tower.
