Our van, in common with many Fiats, suffers from the non sticky paint on the bonnet so I'm thinking of getting it wrapped just with a single plain colour.

I'd have something with a bit of a pattern but the Boss says no. Anyone had it done? Pics would be nice for a few ideas.

Cheers

I'll watch with interest H.

My Peugeot bonnet from the same era has that problem as well 🤬

Our friends from Romania are giving it the once over tomorrow morning, with dire warnings about pressure washers ringing in their ears, then it’s off to a local graphics business to sound them out.

I’ll be back.

Cheers

How about tartan you’d do well in Scotland then.😂

I'm getting de ja vous....didn't we have this exact same conversation a couple of weeks ago?

I wonder how vinyl would cope with a scratch. Parking tò close to a hedge whilst out wildcamping for example.
The sides of the van are vinyl for about the bottom half metre or so and aren’t bad for an old van. A couple of scuffs but nowt serious.

A few years back i got a quote from a company near Chorley for a vinyl wrap done on my bonnet which i said i would remove and take to them rather than taking the motorhome because their unit is quite small :)

£300 + VAT for a plain colour or more if i wanted a patterned design, apparantly the high cost was down to the preparation needed before they could put the wrap on o_O

I politely declined their offer and haven`t bothered since :(

Having the poptop roof wrapped next Monday due to the relentless Spanish sun dulling the paint finish. Ill post pic when done. The wrapping guy says that the vinyl has the same life expectancy of paint and it can be taken off at a later date and the underneath will be as it was when first wrapped. £420 for the job which I recon is cheaper than painting.
On bonnet bra,s, we always use one through out the spring and summer months. Certainly has protected the bonnet from stone chips etc and when removed the bonnet is as good as new. (y)

Removed mine last month Ducato X250, repainted, perfect job, £350 !
Had to do the last one too, X244, 7 years ago £250.
Cost all down to the perfect prep.
