I'm sure that one or two of you have been to Verona. We are planning on staying there for a few nights in September on our trip to Italy. I am in 2 minds as whether to stay 3 nights or 4. That way we will have 2 or 3 days to explore.

My question to this who have been would 2 days be sufficient to explore the city?

Had a holiday there pre van many years ago .
Was there a week , would have stayed longer .
Smaller , less hectic than Florence etc
Was there at the wrong time for the opera . If possible, go
It's outside in the coliseum , people take wine and picnics .
I don't like opera but I'd go to that

We were there October 2023 for two nights on our way back from Croatia. Most things you might want to see are within walking distance of each other. We covered everything we planned to see in one day. Unfortunately it was 31°C and it was all very exhausting. Two days would have been better. Verona is a lovely, very interesting city, up to 4 nights would ok.

Didn't do Verona but enjoyed Soave down the road. Good camoerstop reasonable price. Nice old town and of course the wine .
