Vason 15" LCD TV Problem

My motorhome has a Vason LCD TV with DVD and Freeview. IT's 2 1/2 yrs old. Not being TV addicts it has probably not been used for more than about 25 hours. All was fine at the end of one trip but then at the beginning of next I was unable to access the freeview menu either from the remote or from the button on the TV itself. The TV itself works perfectly in that it will play DVD's without problem but of course I cannot watch TV. Has anyone else suffered this problem? It strikes me that it may be a software issue but what do I know? I am hoping someone has the answer to save me the expense of a TV engineer.

just wot i fort:p, on mine to play dvd's it has to be selected on the remote then changed back to digital:cool:

Yes, This Tv has a very complicated remote and separate menus for playing DVD's and TV. I've tried everything to no avail. The suppliers weren't any help either so stil hoping someone else has this TV and have had and solved the same problem. Thanks for your input guys.
 
The flat screen 15" TV I have, has a remote for TV, DVD and a VCR control. The DVD is built into the TV. The VCR is a seperate unit, but when connected with a Scart lead, I press on Menu, a list of options comes up, TV, DVD, VCR and a few others. I scroll to VCR, (if I want to watch a tape) click on okay and thats it. If it is only your TV, where you are unable to get a Freeview signal or picture, you may have to retune your remote to the signal, which is way out of my league. Sorry.

It is no good. You need to pack it with the remote very carfully and ship it to me with a note saying "pressie for you":D

Does it have a restore factory settings in the setup menu?:cool::cool::cool:
