Van conversion. Whale heater problem!

Hi all!
I am converting an iveco daily into a camper, and I’m fitting a whale WH1302(B) 13 litre water heater. The problem is that a wire has become detached and I can’t see where to reattach it. I think it’s the thermocouple wire. I’m hoping someone who has one like it could tell me where it goes! Thanks! - Bill.

IF its a thermocouple I think it would go to the gas valve as a flame failure device ?
