HI wilding friends,
Just a thought: how did you come to pick your user name ? I know that some are self explanatary, but I will start a new thread!
When we got our first M/H and as soon as we got in it all the stress disappeared. We spent several nights comfortably tucked up in the garden! No phones ringing, no rythmn box booming through the floor boards, no questions abouts what's for tea, no having to listen to teenagers coming in at 4 a.m. and wondering what on earth they were attempting to cook in the kitchen! Get my drift??
We decided early on that we would call our motorohome WIL after Tom Hanks' experience as a Castaway. That rugby ball he called Wilson gave him sanity and something to focus on . He spoke to it, he loved it and it kept him sane. We all need that?
And so, while we were at a motorhome show - I think it was the Stratford show ( NOT LOOKING TO BUY of course!) but we saw a van that we really liked, and after some conversation, wheeling and dealing, came to an agreement and signed on the dotted line............
We skulked back later that night when all was closed and we admired and crooned over our new van - we uttered, he's 'a beast!' Wilson was gone but 'Wil the beast' was born! :D

I keep tropical frogs (over 100 animals of 22 species at the last count!), and dude cos i surf and that's what the guys at work say to take the proverbial. So Frogdude i am!

spent a lot of time in Hong Kong when I was younger, number 8 is considered lucky by the chinese and I'm from Dundee so......

frogdude

like it. Well done you. Do they taste like chicken?!! Only joking!:eek:

ours is the reg of our van and my last name is tough same as my parents are called tuftey

Reg name

Like the idea of reg. names, my would be UXB!

As for my user name is simply my name, I'm not frightened by the use of my real name which is the basis of email address, I am a gender not in fear of somebody finding out who I am and where I live, unless it's the deby collector of course!

The french word for traveller or journey, sums up what we do when we're in Minnie.

Which is the last three letters of its reg plate, MHN, the wifes idea not mine!! :) :)

Mine is a shortened version of my Ebay user name ( Avandriver )

It came about when I was living in Devon and I started to sell on Ebay

When you live up north ( where I come from ) Manchester , and you buy something dodgy from a bloke in the pub You say it fell of the back of a lorry , But if you live down south west and you buy something dodgy , then you say you got it from A Van driver

Hence the Ebay user name Avandriver

I did try to register on the forum with "Avandriver" but for some reason the system would not allow it

We already did this one in 'Fun and Games' under my thread: 'Where did you get that name'. To recap: Mine is my Native American name translated into English. You can call me anything you like, but don't call me late for a drink!

Well, I'm Sarah and I am a Paramedic, so not too much of an exciting story but kinda makes sense, and has a nice 'ring' to it - though it may just be that I am very used to it as I've used it on many a forum for a long time now....:)
