How do you go about uprating MH. We are just about to change vehicle and don't want to go overweight. The one we have now was uprated when we got it so never had to worry about how much we put in it. (After emptying it out, even that was probably not enough:scared::lol-053: )

It differ's vehicle to vehicle so you need to make a choice first then contact SV tec who will advise you what is req for that vehicle to be up rated. Really needs to be done before you commit to a purchase.

If you are changing vans, why not get one based on a vehicle with a high enough GVW from factory.
I don't know about other makes, but the Mercedes Sprinters over 3.5 t have a different chassis to the 3.5t version even though they look identical.

The MH we are getting isn't new but has the layout we want and got a very good deal trading ours in. Getting just what we wanted was like finding hens' teeth.
We'll give Svtech a call when we get sorted and keep our fingers crossed. And if can't be done we will be going minimalist.

I have just uprated mine, 3.4 to 3.7 because mine is the standard chassis although I do have auxiliary springs fitted on the rear, it is a simple process and cost £312

If you ring SV Tech before you buy they would advise if it could be uprated. They'll need all the details off the weight plate and wheel sizes along with van make model and age.
