Unusual Spanish gas problem

Refillable is good for us but aren't the Spanish gas bottles heavily subsidised and therefore cheap? I haven't been so could well be wrong but that's what Charlie told me.
Would be an idea to see if you can pick up a used propane cylinder from someone when you land in England, would save registration costs then its just the expense of gas. If your heating uses a lot then refillable may be worth considering while here if you can pick up a cheap bottle secondhand

Spanish gas is nearly as cheap as refillable but easily obtainable just getting bottle and regulator is where you need to be thinking

I know on my first setup I had one refillable bottle and left the second to use bought gas cyclones (calotype etc.) this was so I could use domestic bottled if they were cheaper wherever I went.
So far I haven't ventured out of the UK with the van and I always intend the majority of its use in the UK so ended up fitting a second refillable. I can add bottles if ever needed though.
Was just thinking for someone resident in Spain refillable may not be better option

Spanish bottled gas is cheaper than refillable last Nov I paid 12€ for 15 kg Repsol bottle so he,d be a long time breaking even. I could have missed seeing them but can,t recall seeing any lpg pumps

It's not really depends how many trips to uk they do but it will work anywhere and exchange here is just chucking money away

Before leaving Spain go to any repsol station and change your existing butane cylinder for one full of propane. The cylinders are identical, just the painted on labels are different. Northern Spain is not much different to the UK in winter, its too cold for butane.

Are outlet/regulator the same?
