Underfloor LPG tank regulations

I've cut several gas bottle open to make fire pits out of them and there were all brand new inside Andrew no rust at all and one was well over 10 years old .

Did you shotblast it first and then use 2 pack zink, not the cr-p you buy from motor stores.

I didn't shot blast it Trev but took the shine of it with wet and dry then coatered it up+ the alloy guard in front will help .

Lpg tanks do not rust from the inside unless left empty and open to the air.

There is no regulation that says they have to be inspected or replaced at any age.

I replaced mine after 18 years service (it was two years old when fitted) and it was fine.
