Tyres Pressures

This topic caused quite a spat yesterday at the Stratford Upon Avon meet.
Everybody is an expert. ;)

Hand up........I'm not, know nothing, its flat or round so really like these pressure threads (y)

You don't have to be an 'expert', just be able to decide who is.

My vote is for the tyre manufacturers (generally) so I follow their advice.

Couple of points.
The pressures 72f 79r, are for maximum plated axle loads, the 69 is not relevant.
you can run at 72/79 if you want, but if you find these too hard you will need the actual axle loads when FULLY LOADED, you can then contact Conti or use the chart given earlier as those tyres have a load index of 109.

I have MoHo tyres fitted to my Rapido. I also have tyre pressure sensors fitted to all 4 tyres, as i think its crucial to monitor them. What i can say, is although my tyres are rated 75, i have them filled to 65 when cold. During driving, i do see the pressure go up from the heat build up and they then run at round 75. When you think of the weight you are driving around in, a decent set of tyre monitors is well worth the purchase, as it lets you know early if something is wrong. Might only give you a few minutes notice, but better than no notice at all.
