Tyre Mileage? 215x75x15 Conti Vanco Camper

Hi
Do people think that 16000 miles is ok for a 3500kgs low profile van on 215x75x15 Conti Vanco Camper tyres?
I am wondering about changing them to Michelin Cross Climate Camper Tyres for maybe better grip and longer mileage.
Not that I have ever been dissatisfied with the Continentals having run them all my motorhoming life- 20 yrs! Not the same ones!!😂😂
 
Our cross climate campings are on 22000 , I have swapped front to back just before this Spain trip , wanted the more grip on the front if we encountered snow

Thanks for that. Would you recommend the Michelin over Continental?
Do you have a similar van and tyre size?
Are the Michelin directional?
 
Yes Michelin are directional as I think all winter tyres are,
We’ve had cross climates on 5+ ton Hymer and now have them
On our 3.5ton plus fiat Ducato maxi van ,
Never had any problems with Michelin, I keep these on all year round as wet summers day they work better than non winter tyres
Only vehicle I’ve had with continental was AA vans and never had any issues with those either
 
Had cross climate Michelins on a few years now, there definitely better than the old Michelin Agilis all round, went over the tops in Andora hard packed snow no problems, I know the Agilis wouldn't have made it.
 
I have recently had 2 x Falken 225 x 75 x 16 tyres fitted on the rear of my 5 tonne Auto Trail as one of my Michelin agil had a blow out on the autobahn in southern France causing quite a bit of damage to the plastic wheel arch and skirt, also damaging my alloy wheel, so I have lost all faith in the Michelin camper tyres, the Falken tyres I have had fitted are great and as well as £100 cheaper per tyre, you cannot tell any différance when driving
 
My 3850kg motorhome had Michelin aglis camping tyres from new in 2016. 225x75 R16

I replaced the fronts Oct 2019 with 32000 miles on them, still legal but better to go early.

The rears were replaced in Jan 2023 by Michelin cross climate camping with 46800 miles driven. Again changed while still legal but getting close to the limit.

I expect to change the fronts again at the end of this year. Total miles run around 30000, likely to be around 37000 by end of year, but may need changed mid year, time will tell.

I will replace with cross climate camping. I have no experience of other names. I don't rotate the tyres and am fastidious regarding pressures, protecting against UV with covers and painting sidewalls with forever black tyre gel for UV protection and looks.
I also use a tpms to monitor pressures to avoid pressure drops which can lead to blowouts.

Cross climates are all season tyres, I don't think they are proper winter tyres.

Have a check on Black circles ours are 225/75/16 and the four came in at £790 fitted, these are cross climate camping 2
 
I had same contis and same size .they were on 25000 when a 6 inch nail went in the top and out the side.still loads of tread left.
The tyre stayed up.but 2 new ones required.
I fitted 225/70 r15 Maxis 4 season tyres that had a higher rating as I could not find Falken in the correct size.
So far so good and @£108 each I'm not complaining
15 inch are thin on the ground.
 
Maybe they were new. I had 26909 on my first set.
I am sure factory fitted tyres to new cars differ from replacements.
Or maybe the vehicle settles down and is harder on tyres!!

after wearing a pair of winter tyres out in 4 months i changed to heavy duty commercial tyres ithat lasted a couple of years
