Parked on the Aire near Oliva on the Med coast and my neighbour has got the full works ( bbc 1&2 plus ITV ) with a normal dish
My dome won’t pick anything up
Has the footprint changed again ?

Maybe they can access Hispasat satelite. We got a box of a guy at Javea which worked 2015 /16 but didnt last time we tried. Perhaps things have changed again

He is on Astra 2.2 with nothing special in his system (friend of mine so I know the system)
He was as surprised as me . We are heading to Cabo da Gata if it works there the dome will go and a dish fitted for next year

He probably has an 85cm d¡sh... there are anomolies in the signal coverage down to about Torrevieja on the coast , but must say hes very lucky. You wont get any signal on a dome or a dish in Cabo de Gata from Astra 2 unless its 2Mtr.
If you want films (English/USA )then you could get Spainish TDT box and change the language to English.Usually one film every night .

His dish will be pointing at Intelsat 907.

See this webpage for instructions to get BBC Satback in Spain:

Intelsat 907 at 27.5 West – BBC SATBACK – The Sat and PC Guy – UK Satellite and Internet TV – Valencia – Costa Blanca – Spain

Plenty of info on this site.

Completely illegal though!

I'm surprised he can get all the channels but would expect to get some of them I usually get some when travelling along that coast. Your dish being auto seek may need new codes inputted
see HERE Runnach has posted latest codes

We had thought about getting satellite dish, but were wary after having a rubbish Camos dome on last MH.

Sorry if this is irrelevant to people who want/have satellite dish. This is what we have done for
the last 2 months, in Spain, we’ve only downloaded tv using iPad. You do need a good sized storage on iPad.
We’ve managed to download with VPN and paid for ITV Hub £3.99 a month. ITV essentials is supposed to work abroad, still £3.99 a month but is garbage - loads of complaints which they don’t bother to reply to. Make sure you register your account in uk at home before you set off. You can watch live tv as well if you really want to. Oh another plus ITV hub cuts out the adverts.
Also been able to download BBC with VPN but a bit more tricky as BBC are on to use of VPN.
Same with All Four - loads of box sets but only last for 7 days but you can download again if you don’t watch in time.
We haven’t used TV at all in the last 2 months and won’t be bothering with satellite again.

Just need to find cafes with very good WiFi connections. They are the ones that get our money. Yesterday we were in a cafe that downloaded quicker than you could count.
Possibly another post would be fast WiFi connection cafes etc.
One point re data - it’s not worth even thinking about using that for watching tv -1hour tv = approximately 1 gb of data. 3 mobile allow, (even unlimited data contract) customers to use only 12gb a month - so you do the maths. I believe vodaphone are better. I’ve got an old contract with 3 so it’s not been worth my while changing yet - but never say never.

Domes don't receive any where as good as a dish and I'd be surprised if you got anything after mid France with a dome but from Ducatos post I took it he had before. The way forward is as large a manual dish as you can accommodate Being Manual you've no updates to worry about and with a little practice you'll find the Satellites just as quick

Thanks
Our last picture on our Maxview Dome was at Bordeaux , which was better than we expected .
We dont’t even try in Spain . But was amazed my friend got a picture.
Lot of good things in Spain , no strictly no emmerdale no Corrie and it’s warm
