Truma heating system

Wondering if it is possible to fit a timer to the heating system so the heating will switch off/on to preset time Can anyonr advise ?? Thanks

Hi,

I do not have the Truma system on my current van but seem to remember that you have to turn a knob and manually ignite the heater. At least you had to on my Elddis.

If you can hookup a 240 volt supply, why not use a fan heater or oil filled radiator on a timer instead. It will be much easier as I cannot see a straightforward way to do it as you suggest.

Have you had a look at the Truma website for information?

Truma may well have an electronic timer that replaces the current control, but since it is a fairly simple system it would not be difficult to add one. Webasto have that option. Difficulty would be in sourcing a suitable timer.
