Trailer or Dolly

dollies as such are regulated in speed not really for towing behind m,homes just for recovery really . i have a harvey frost one here . good tool if needed and a good winch on it for pulling cars out of ditches . i think the op is really talking aframes . although there as been some very wide dollies and the spec type dollies .but really recovery only would be my advice . i did police registered recovery in my business so had lots of recovery gear . when i closed i kept alot as its still usefull. i let the bigger recovery truck go ,often wish i hadnt .

I'd regard Dollies and A-frames in the same light. Just heard about too many problems over using them, especially traveling abroad. Admittedly it is third party information, but it doesn't seem to be worth taking the risk with them now.

if you need a car when with your m,home then get a 5er i made the move 12 years ago best one i ever did.
i still suport the use of aframes etc but a 5er or a mini artic is the ultimate .
having tried buses trucks all sorts of other ideas . 5er or mini artic is the way.

looks Like a Trailer for Murial

Hi All
Thanks for all your comments, think I will go with the majority and go for the Trailer. Its a good job I,ve took to wildcamping will give me chance to save the money .
I am now a bit confussed over the towing rules in spain I drive a coach/bus and have a licence that allows me to tow a trailer. I, am sure people in the industry take Ski trailers into Spain and Have never heard of any being stoped. Is this a rule they only enforce when its a easy target ?

Interesting thread. Thanks to all.

VWAlan,

Could you tell me what is a 5er, please?
I'm guessing it's a "five-legger" or some kind of artic.

If it is, I saw loads of that sort of thing in California.
