Skip lochlomond and head for aberfoyle loch chondrite start from there then head over the dukes pass to Kilmahog then up to the green welly, visit morar beach near mallaig

Craignish point south of Oban.
Absolutely gorgeous especially if you get good weather.

When you are in the Loch Ness area, head to Glen Affric. STUNNING drive, plenty of spots to park in, lots of walks, waterfalls and forests.

Also, don't miss Glencoe! Food at The Claighaig Inn isn't bad, and the views from there are great with plenty of seating outdoors.

If you want to go further north, Durness has tropical looking white sand beaches and there's even a campsite that's worth a stop at with great views overlooking the sea from a cliff top :)

Oh yes, personally we would skip Loch Lomond too - the main route North from there is a very narrow and winding road, we would never try and take our MH there.

The spot that always draws us, is the melrose cemetery car park next to the Kyle of Tongue. stunning views quite (as you would expect) and a very clean toilet a few miles up the road in Talmine. Bliss

Loch Lomond area can be quite stunning esp for tourists. The main road north, did you mean from Loch Lomond to Crainlarich?

Here is a suggestion for the OP: Drive up at Loch Lomond have a look around Luss ( a very pretty village) then drive up the road and turn left at the Y junction and head for Loch Long instead of Crainlarich. There are a couple of nice pois to stop after Arrochar. Drive over the Rest and Be Thankful and then head to Inveraray and around Loch Fyne. From there head towards Lochgilphead and then turn right on the road for Oban. Stop and have a look at the Crinan Canal and drive up Kilmartin Glen with all the standing stones and prehistory. From Oban head north.

One point dont miss out on a drive through Glencoe, one of the my fav drives in Scotland. It is never the same twice.

Not sure where Crainlarich fall on the map, but when we have driven from Glencoe down to Loch Lomond, along the Loch itself, we have always had problems (and this was in a car, not a MH). When a coach was coming by in the other direction there was virtually no room to get through, which is why I say we would never attempt it in a large vehicle. I'm sure if others can suggest other routes.

Most of the road along the loch is fine, but there are some windy, narrow stretches at the northern end. I have never had a problem in the MH, just proceed with caution as some of the larger vehicles coming the other way do come at a fair pelt sometimes.

I guess they know the road better than I do.

That must be the section I have in my mind. We live in Inverness and have probably been down that way a couple of dozen times and have always had 'hairy' moments in a car which is why I say we would never attempt it in a MH, but everyone is comfortable with different situations.

There is a Scotish group under community at top of page with info in.

If in Oban area go to the Isle of Seil . Cross the Atlantic bridge , about 10 feet long . Go to Oyster Brewery bar . Main car park nearby ignore signs , put up by local businessman , though one of the locals in the bar insisted I parked on his land . Really quirky place

We did this very route at the beginning of last week over a couple of days and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd add a couple of things though .....

Head down the, in places, single track road to the coast at Easdale (just South of Oban) and spend the night there. There's a huge car park in the village beside the art gallery which allows overnight parking. The sign says £10 per night but when I asked in the gallery the friendly woman said help yourself, no charge!

Head East from Oban to Loch Awe and visit the Ben Cruachan Underground Power Station, it's a fascinating place.

Visit Cruachan

I had forgotten about Easdale and the Atlantic Bridge. A great place for a night and the ferry over to Easdale isle is an experience.

I used to use the council car park and ignored the signs but stayed away from the bottom end as that is where the complaints come from. Spoke to various locals and they were happy for us to stay.

Drove right passed the turn off for the Isle of Seil on my way down from Oban this week.
