Totally new with no mechanical know how

That’s really interesting we spoke with Howard today. We really really like the van. One owner from new. Some bodywork stuff they said they’d sort. And some money off.
Would you buy from them again then?

Yes definitely, we went back 3 or 4 times to view it before actually buying and nothing was too much trouble for them.

The only thing i wasn`t keen on was the service centre which is just up the road on the opposite side when we took it back for the habitation service at 1 year old.

It was not worth the money but did provide a stamp in the service book.

I use to have a Chausson 510 welcome.
I did this review and started this thread on here.

Great review. Interesting to read both the pros and cons.

That’s a shame about the service centre being disappointing.
I was slightly concerned that they didn’t seem overly keen on letting us test drive it. I’d have thought that would be expected on a second hand vehicle.

When I bought my first motorhome from a dealer I drove the van from a side road, up a motorway for about 4 miles, turned a roundabout, and returned, where I bought it

He was genuinely surprised I'd made a decision to buy so quickly. I didn't tell him it wasn't the van, but it was him that was being tested.

Some years later, when a lamp failed, he changed it for free. It was that first drive that told me he was someone I could trust.
